About Us
Florida Masonry, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) trade organization dedicated to representing and supporting the masonry industry in Florida. One of our primary goals is to provide education and resources to the industry and the public, including architects, engineers, contractors, building officials, and building owners. Our aim is to help these stakeholders construct safe and durable masonry structures, particularly in areas prone to high winds and hurricanes.
We are committed to promoting the use of masonry as a reliable and long-lasting building material throughout Florida. By offering free resources, we educate the design and construction community on best practices for masonry construction. Our goal is to equip professionals with the necessary tools to ensure masonry structures can endure the severe weather conditions typical of the region.
Additionally, we are proud to introduce the Florida Masonry Construction Workforce Navigator. This free tool is designed to connect job seekers in the masonry industry with trade school educators and employers, fostering a robust and skilled workforce for the future.
Mission Statement
The mission of Florida Masonry is to coordinate and provide education of the masonry trade; promote the recruitment, education, and training for future masons and related tradesman; and maintain and increase masonry market share.
The Association accomplishes this mission by providing:
• Continuing education to industry decision makers.
• A Masonry Advocate for Fair Codes & Standards.
• Recruiting Florida’s Next Generation of Masons through our sponsorship of masonry apprentice programs in Florida.
• Promoting the benefits of masonry construction through its partnership with the Florida Concrete & Products Association, BlockStrongTM and the Florida Caribbean American Association of Architects
